Vintella Script

Vintella Script is a display typeface inspired by the hand-lettered title cards of 1920s silent films. To capture the authentic charm of the era, I began by studying original film stills and tracing letterforms using a light box. From there, I digitally reconstructed the characters—cleaning up strokes, refining forms, and designing missing glyphs by referencing structural elements from existing letters. Once digitized, I tested the set in font software, gradually adjusting weight, spacing, and proportions to create a cohesive and functional typeface. The result is a graceful script that blends historical influence with refined, contemporary usability.
